Racophorus for macOS
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
Racophorus is a local-first Mac utility. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how the Racophorus macOS application handles information when it keeps your Mac awake for the duration and power mode you choose.
2. Data collection
Racophorus does not require an account and does not collect personal data, usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts, files, or user-generated content.
The app does not operate a developer server and does not transmit app data to the developer or third parties.
3. Information stored locally
Racophorus stores a limited set of preferences on your Mac so your choices persist between launches. These preferences may include:
- the selected power mode;
- interaction-sound and battery-warning settings;
- the optional global-shortcut setting; and
- the selected visual theme.
These preferences remain local to your Mac and are not transmitted to the developer.
4. Local system functionality
Racophorus uses Apple system frameworks locally to create and release power assertions, read the current battery state for optional warnings, provide App Intents, manage the optional Launch at Login setting, and register the optional global shortcut.
These features do not cause Racophorus to collect or transmit personal data.
5. Diagnostics
Racophorus writes limited operational events and error codes to Apple’s unified logging system on your Mac. These diagnostics describe app state, such as whether an assertion started or ended; they do not include document content, account information, precise selected times, or other personal content.
Diagnostic retention and access are controlled by macOS. Racophorus does not upload these logs.
6. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Racophorus does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, tracking technologies, fingerprinting, or third-party profiling tools.
The app does not show ads and does not track activity across apps, websites, or services.
7. Third parties and data sharing
Racophorus does not include third-party SDKs that collect data and does not sell, rent, or share personal data.
Apple may process information independently when you use the Mac App Store or macOS system services. Apple’s handling of that information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies.
8. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Racophorus does not retain user data on developer-operated servers, so there is no server-side account or personal-data record to delete.
You can disable optional features such as Launch at Login, interaction sounds, battery warnings, and the global shortcut in the app. Local preferences and system diagnostics remain under your control through Racophorus and macOS.
9. Children’s privacy
Racophorus does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Racophorus features or data practices change. The effective date shown above will identify the current version.
